Privacy policy

bxzex is an independent software studio based in Orlando, Florida. In this policy "we" means bxzex, and the site means bxzex.com, the client, partner and team portals, and the forms on it.

What you send us. When you fill in Start a project, Careers or Partner with us, we keep what you type: your name, email, phone if you give it, company, links, and the details of your project or application.

Bookings. When you book a call, Cal.com takes your name, email, the time and any notes, and sends us the booking.

Accounts. If you have a portal login we keep your name, email, a scrambled version of your password (never the password itself), when you signed in, and the messages, files, signatures and change requests you add to a project.

Payments. Invoices are paid through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store a full card number. We keep the amount, date and status of each payment. Team members who are paid through Stripe give their payout details to Stripe, not to us.

Email. We keep a copy of the emails we send you and the replies you send back. Our emails record when they are opened and when a link in them is clicked, so we know a message arrived.

The chat assistant. It runs in your browser and answers from a fixed set of written answers. What you type in it is not sent to us or to anyone else.

We sometimes email businesses about work we could do for them, using contact details the business publishes itself, such as on its website or map listing. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, your address goes on a do-not-contact list and is never emailed again from any of our addresses.

To reply to you, scope and deliver the work you hire us for, send proposals and invoices, take payment, pay our team, keep accounts secure, and keep the records the law asks a business to keep. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

A few services do part of the work for us, and only see what they need for that part:

• Vercel hosts the site and stores project files.
• Neon hosts the database.
• Resend delivers email sent from hello@bxzex.com.
• Google runs the Gmail account some emails come from, and serves the site's fonts.
• Stripe processes payments and team payouts.
• Cal.com runs the booking calendar.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.

For as long as we are talking or working together, and after that only as long as we need it for records such as invoices and tax. Applications and enquiries that go nowhere can be deleted whenever you ask.

You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing hello@bxzex.com. We will answer within 30 days. Some records, such as paid invoices, we may have to keep for legal reasons, and we will tell you if so.

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored scrambled, sign-in links expire, the studio's own login needs a second code, and project files are private to the people on that project. No system is perfect, and if something went wrong that affected your information we would tell you.

The site and the studio's services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. If a change matters to how we use information you already gave us, we will email you.
